Sandvik Mining and Construction GmbH in Zeltweg develops and produces tunneling and extraction machines for the cutting mining of mineral and ore deposits and for excavating traffic tunnels worldwide. The competence center for engineering and production of machines for cutting stone processing is located at the Sandvik site in Zeltweg. The products of the Zeltweg plant are used both to create underground cavities in the construction industry, e.g. tunnels and caverns, as well as in underground mining for driving routes and extracting raw materials such as coal, salt, potash, platinum, diamonds and the like.
